Ruthy brings a mix of first-hand experience, extensive training and years of dedicated practice to this work, which she loves with all her heart. She combines 16 years of working holistically with clients, in Scotland (and a stint running her own little retreat centre in the Tenerife mountains), with her personal story of astonishing recovery after 20 years of chronic pain and illness. Click here to read her personal story if you're the kind of person who likes more detail. Weaving together a rainbow of energy from her Scottish, Irish & African ancestry and from her training with Celtic, North American & Peruvian teachers, Ruthy provides healing sessions, lessons and workshops from her base in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. Whether face-to-face, over distance, one-to-one or group, she works to inspire, support and empower people to create real shifts in their lives, gain clarity and perspective or simply to enjoy some much needed 'me-time'. Her client 'type' is incredibly varied; from scientists to shamans and everyone in between, from all over the world, from different cultures and varying backgrounds. She is also experienced in providing holistic/shamanic support to survivors of violence, rape, sexual abuse, domestic abuse etc. Her main goal is to support people to directly experience the freedom and tangible positive results that playful forms of meditation and healing can bring. Especially in terms of managing/reducing/undoing the disruptive effects of stress or trauma (past or present) on overall health & wellbeing.
